Karen’s fundraising walk raising money for a new retreat centre for women training for ordination.

Saturday 13 May – Sunday 14 May

A message from Karen: Hi to all my spiritual friends. Moving to Worcester has been great as I have been able to retire and turn toward my Dharma life more fully. As part of that I wanted to do something to raise funds for the new Tiratanaloka Centre because we need more great ordained women to lead us and teach us on our paths! The current centre has out-grown demand and there are ambitious plans to enable 60 participants at a time to train! I will be walking 30+ miles, or circa 77,000 steps, from the Worcester Buddhist Centre to Birmingham Buddhist Centre along the canal and through the cities - over the 2 days of 13th and 14th of May.

The target is £5000!! So sponsor me 16 strides for a £1 or 160 strides for £10, or whatever you can afford. Having not walked more than 2 hours since I had back and hip surgery this will be quite a challenge! Every penny donated will be motivating me to train and succeed. Check out the Just Giving page for progress and training fund raising updates! As well as cute small dog training support photos!!

Thank you for your support and SADHU !! Yours, Karen
